A 14-year-old boy (juvenile) was injured while operating an ATV on private property in Muldrow Wednesday afternoon, according to a report by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Steven Crooks of the Sequoyah County Detachment Troop C.

The accident occurred about 3:27 p.m. on private property in the area of S. 4715 Rd.

According to the report, the 14-year-old was driving a 2009 Honda Foreman ATV through an open field on a trail and departed the trail to the north and rolled the ATV one time. The driver was ejected from the ATV and landed south of the vehicle.

The juvenile was transported by Air Evac to St. Francis Children’s Hospital in Tulsa with lower leg injuries, Crooks said in the report.

Crooks was assisted by Trooper Timothy Parrish, Maple Fire Department and Pafford EMS.
