A mother and daughter injured in an ATV crash on Thanksgiving Day are recovering from their injuries.

A spokesman at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, where the two were transported, said Friday that 3-year-old Khloei Urbine was listed in critical condition and her mother, Sabrina, 25, was not listed in their system.

At last check, FHP officials, who are investigating the crash, said Sabrina Urbine had suffered minor injuries. Both mother and daughter are from Gainesville, authorities said.

Officials said the crash occurred about 1:45 p.m. Thursday at 18406 NW Third Ave., Citra. Urbine and her daughter were riding on a 2006 Kazum Falcon ATV on the property when they struck a strand of barbed wire that was tied between a fence and an antenna next to the home.

The little girl was seated in front of her mother, authorities said. Neither rider was wearing a helmet.
