A 6-year-old boy was flown to a hospital after police say his neck was crushed in a farm accident in Ephrata.
Police responded to the property on Glenwood Drive just after 6:20 p.m. Friday.
Upon arriving, officers learned the child’s neck was crushed between the frame and bed of a dump truck that was being operated by the boy’s father.
According to police, the father had attempted to lower the dump bed after feeding cows. When the dump bed did not go down all the way, the father discovered his son trapped between the frame and the bed.
Police said the boy was unconscious when he was transported to the hospital.
